Who is the Texas Bankers Association?

The Texas Bankers Association (TBA) is the largest and oldest state banking organization in the country. Founded in 1885, TBA has grown and evolved over the years in fulfilling its mission to provide world class advocacy, education and products and services to approximately 400 member banks across Texas. A not-for-profit, 501(c)(6) entity, TBA has also serves as the umbrella to three for-profit subsidiaries and a non-profit foundation – all totaling over 100 employees across the enterprise. What our team Needs:

We are seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant/Receptionist who desires to be part of a dynamic, fast growing, and diverse team in administrative support. The successful candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities. Must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously.

Key Components of the Position:

  • Greet all visitors/callers in a cordial and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of TBA products, services, and departments.
  • Member Relations:
  • Answer members questions regarding TBA events & products with information on pricing, membership benefits, and links to our website.
  • Provide customer service and website navigation assistance for callers, and information requested via email.
  • Setup member logins.
  • Office management:
  • Maintain/order office, kitchen, and printer/copier supplies.
  • Manage incoming & outgoing mail/UPS/FedEx.
  • Maintain staff calendar of TBA events & PTO.
  • Coordinate with building management company for all maintenance requests.
  • Assist accounting/database team:
  • Assist with monthly invoicing.
  • Update/maintain internal member database records.
  • Process all registrations for events.
  • Send out event access information to same-day registrants.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • 2-3 years preferred experience in an administrative/customer service setting.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and administrative skills.
  • Understand directions and relay to other team members and excel in time management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accelerated problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of administrative duties.
  • Able to pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on guest and manager needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and other web-based applications.
  • High School Graduate.
