Description/Notes:

As a School Librarian, you will facilitate and maintain a modern campus library program. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with classroom educators, design engaging research opportunities, and provide resources that empower students to effectively locate, evaluate, and use information.

Key Responsibilities:
-Instructional Partnership: Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate information literacy and research techniques into core subject areas.
-Library Management: Coordinate the acquisition, processing, organization, inventory, and budget process for all campus library materials.
-Literacy Promotion: Cultivate a vibrant reading culture through special programs, including book fairs, author visits, and storytelling.
-Digital Leadership: Model and train staff on integrating 21st century technology into the curriculum and using technology as a powerful learning tool.
-Staff Guidance: Supervise library support personnel, student aides, and volunteers while providing mentorship to new campus educators.

Qualifications:

-Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university.
-Valid Texas Teacher Certificate.
-Valid Texas Library Endorsement or Library Certificate.
-Three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
-Proficiency with standard database, spreadsheet, and library information retrieval systems.

Salary Range:

$59,250.00-$73,910.35
