About the Opportunity

This is a high-visibility role responsible for leading the Walmart business across the United States and Canada, with direct ownership of customer strategy, Joint Business Planning, and revenue growth. The position offers strong cross-functional exposure and the opportunity to shape category expansion with one of the most important retail partners in the business.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of successful account management or sales experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), preferably in mass retail
  • Direct experience managing the Walmart account
  • Proven track record using Walmart Retail Link and/or Luminate systems
  • Experience developing and executing Joint Business Plans (JBP) and delivering profitable growth
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence multi-level personnel at retail accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

What You’ll Do

Own the Walmart account relationship and drive profitable growth across the United States and Canada by delivering strong sales fundamentals, leveraging data-driven insights, and building collaborative partnerships with Walmart buyers and merchandising teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of the Walmart account and coordinate with internal support resources (Sales, Category, Forecasting, and Account Support teams) to ensure consistent execution
  • Develop and lead the annual Joint Business Plan (JBP) with Walmart to meet or exceed sales, profitability, and distribution targets
  • Identify white-space opportunities, new program placements, and category growth initiatives to expand revenue and shelf presence
  • Drive core sales fundamentals including: Pricing strategy, Merchandising execution, Distribution optimization, Shelf compliance
  • Leverage Walmart Retail Link, Luminate, POS data, shipment history, and inventory reports to generate actionable insights and improve forecast accuracy and category performance
  • Build and present financial models, promotional ROI analyses, and business reviews for line reviews, resets, and seasonal initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to provide customer insights that shape innovation and go-to-market strategies
  • Lead preparation and delivery of new and existing product programs, selling stories, and planograms to Walmart buyers
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting process for the Walmart account and monitor performance against targets
  • Negotiate commercial terms, promotional programs, markdown support, and customer agreements within established guidelines
  • Monitor EDI orders, claims validation, shipping performance, and customer service metrics to maintain strong Walmart compliance scores
  • Communicate business performance, risks, and opportunities clearly and succinctly to both customer and internal stakeholders
  • Travel to Walmart headquarters in Bentonville and other customer meetings as needed

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence buyer and director-level stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical skills utilizing multiple data sources (Retail Link, Luminate, POS, shipment, and inventory data)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus

Location & Travel

Remote within the United States, with travel to Bentonville, Arkansas and customer meetings approximately 15% of the time.
