Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Physical Security Project Manager to join our Torrance office. In this role, you will lead the delivery of integrated physical security solutions, including video surveillance, access control, and video management systems (VMS) , across enterprise environments.

You’ll serve as the bridge between clients, engineers, vendors, and internal teams—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with technical and business requirements.

What You’ll Do

Project Delivery

• Manage multiple physical security projects through the full lifecycle (planning, execution, and closeout)
• Oversee deployments of CCTV, access control, and VMS platforms (both on-prem and cloud-based)
• Ensure all systems meet client expectations, technical requirements, and compliance standards

Technical Coordination

• Partner with engineering teams to design and deploy integrated security solutions
• Coordinate implementation across:
  • IP cameras and NVRs
  • Access control systems and credentialing platforms
  • Cloud-based VMS solutions
• Support integration with enterprise networks, identity systems, and cloud platforms
• Oversee system setup, configuration, and deployment activities

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Lead project kickoff meetings, status updates, and closeouts
• Translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication

Project Controls

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
• Track progress using project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
• Manage scope, change orders, and overall project execution

Field Oversight & Vendor Coordination

• Conduct site surveys and validate readiness for installation
• Oversee field teams and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery

Required Experience

• 8+ years of project management experience in:
  • Physical security
  • Low-voltage systems
  • Integrated technology environments
• Proven experience delivering projects involving:
  • Video surveillance (CCTV)
  • Access control systems
  • Video Management Systems (VMS)
• Strong knowledge of IP-based systems and supporting network infrastructure

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with platforms such as:
  • Axis Communications
  • Avigilon
  • Verkada
  • Brivo
  • Hanwha Vision
  • Identiv
• Experience with multi-site or enterprise-level deployments

Certifications & Education

• PMP Certification (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, IT, or related field) preferred
• Manufacturer certifications (Axis, Avigilon, Verkada, etc.) are a plus

This is an on-site role based in Torrance, CA with local travel required.

Valid driver’s license required.

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Their main customers in the Greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas include many local area hospitals, military bases, ports, and various schools. Many of their upcoming projects will revolve around the 2028 Olympics. This is a fully onsite position in Torrance,CA.
