The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors throughout the hotel. This is a highly visible, non-stationary position that requires continuous patrols, proactive engagement, and the ability to respond effectively to a wide range of situations. The ideal candidate combines a strong security background with a customer-focused approach, understanding that safety and hospitality go hand in hand.

What You'll Do
  • Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, and assets
  • Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, guest concerns, and requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property and proactively identify potential safety and security concerns.
  • Investigate and document incidents, accidents, injuries, and security-related activity through detailed and accurate report writing.
  • Utilize effective de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and manage challenging situations.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment during conventions, special events, and periods of high occupancy.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For
  • Ability to remain calm, observant, and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a guest-service mindset
  • Experience in security field preferred
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of guests, visitors, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Experience conducting foot patrols and maintaining a visible security presence throughout a large property.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations, make sound decisions, and take appropriate action.
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflict and mitigate potentially disruptive situations
  • Comfortable providing assistance and direction to both guests and non-guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Ability to patrol all areas of the hotel, including guest floors, public spaces, meeting areas, and exterior locations.
