The Role

Seeking a Staff Robotics Engineer to design and build the core software systems that enable communication between autonomous robots, cloud infrastructure, and mission control platforms.

This is a high-impact role focused on developing scalable, reliable software that supports real-world robotic deployments at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop software systems for device management, mission control, and fleet coordination
• Build and maintain mission planning and execution frameworks for autonomous operations
• Develop interfaces and protocols for robot configuration and control
• Integrate cloud-based services for data storage, monitoring, and analytics
• Ensure reliable, low-latency communication between cloud systems and robotic platforms
• Optimize systems for real-time performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with robotics, product, and field teams
• Contribute to system architecture, APIs, and technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in robotics software development
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experience with ROS / ROS 2 and robotic system integration
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and deployment workflows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed robotic systems at scale
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and backend services
• Knowledge of robot communication protocols (e.g. MQTT, gRPC, WebSockets)
• Exposure to cybersecurity practices in robotics or IoT
• Experience deploying robots in real-world industrial or field environments
